Warning to DJs: under no circumstances should you leave your partner acrimoniously

Reading my favourite dj forum I stumbled across a post linking to another forum. In that forum a DJ had post a little story. In short, our DJ decided to break up with his girlfriend of three years (also the mother of his child) by telling her that he met someone else (apt). The story continues...

"...anyways the next night i decide to stop by new girls place and kick it once i get off work.. Well she figures shes going to make me jealous by being going to a bar when i was supposed ot be home...and when i wasnt home when she got home..she flipped..and started calling me demanding me to come home..when i said no..she starting texting me some of my LP names..then i asked her what she was doing she called and started breaking htem on the phone..

Here's the scene of the crime:

M&S Organic Cucumber + dog = my despair

Ok, so i'm walking the dog. I pass an old middle class lady walking her bichon and her golden retreiver. She's discussing what she feeds them.

'I feed him only the best cucumber you know. Marks and Spencer. Organic you know.'

(I didn't even ask)

'Only the best for him, you know.'

Evidently. A passable state of affairs, possibly, in isolation. But I took a few moments to contemplate (meanwhile my dog is getting annoyed at the fact that I can't do two things at once, hence the ball is not being thrown for her). And I fear that this may be part of a general decline in the sanity of the beings that, unfortunately, populate this earth. Consider the following:

Ariel Sharon is 'a man of peace.'
George Bush is divinely inspired.
Tony Blair is the new Middle East envoy for peace.

And now people are feeding their dogs organic cucumber. Whatever is this damned earth coming to?

Next the anti-smoking Guardianistas will be coming for dogs and cats

The British state, nowadays to afraid of sub-state forces that shape societal norms, is increasingly going to greater lengths to adopt the role of family and civil society at once. That or it just wants to reduce perceived burdens on the state coffers without upsetting industries (e.g. alcohol) that regularly fatten those same coffers.

And, of course, bureaucrats have not the foggiest idea how Joe Bloggs goes about relaxing so unsurprisingly we have such a horribly inept (or apt, perhaps?) law that is a numero uno enjoyment-killer. Goodbye Sheesha cafes, weed-filled clubs and the i-don't-smoke-but-i'm-desperate-for-a-fag-with-this-beer cigarette.

Besides, Mr Jenkins puts it much better than I.
